Terri Booser has 17 years experience in the window treatment industry, encompassing design, fabrication, and installation in both retail (local) and wholesale (national) operations.
Terri established An Interior Stitch (AIS) in 1990 as a part-time home-based business to complement her additional job as Home-Dec Coordinator of So Fro Fabrics. In 1994, she decided to devote all efforts to AIS, and, soon thereafter relocated to a separate building. In 2000, a 2400 square foot space was acquired, as well as another commercial workroom in Akron, Ohio. It is the combination of these two businesses that now create the current spacious work area. Plans are already underway to add another 800 square feet to be dedicated to the woodworking aspect of the business.
Terri’s window treatments have been displayed at the International Window Fashions Expo, as well as being published in Window Fashions trade magazine. Her workroom (AIS) was featured in the March 2004 issue of Window Fashions, and the March/April 2007 issue of The Custom Home Furnishings Magazine. Terri also writes articles regularly for The Custom Home Furnishings Magazine.
Terri is an active member in the WCAA, the Window Coverings Association of America as well as a member in both local and regional chapters. She participates in International internet forums of the Custom Home Furnishings Industry, Draperypro and Professional Windows. International conferences and trade shows are attended annually to keep her current on new and improved products and techniques.
Terri is an instructor at the International Custom Home Furnishings Educational Conferences, and she has been the guest speaker for various WCAA and Workroom Associations. Her classes focus and specialize on, but are not limited to, the organizational aspects of the custom workroom with her “S.O.S”approach; Streamline, Organize, Systemize. She has just launched the marketing of her S.O.S. Forms for the Workroom, which can be purchased through An Interior Stitch or The Custom Home Furnishings School.
Terri is a Career Professional Instructor at the CHF Academy, the only school of its kind in the world, where she teaches Window Treatments 100 through 103, as well as Building a Professional Image.
